For the last three years I’m working as lead engineer with TonkTonk Games.
We are working on a project called uFighter and just small part of it is shown on video above.
My responsibilities as lead engineer are making sure that project is technically always on the right path, that we use best technologies and approaches that are possible at given moment and that we apply them with best engineering practices in mind I make peace between creative and technical requirements of project trying on each step not to limit creative freedom by providing guidance and designing solutions that are art direct-able, flexible to change and supportive of quality we are pursuing. As well as constantly trying to improve our tools and all systems both game and pipeline to allow better quality, faster iteration and more flexibility whenever possible.
Often I work in planning and implementation of frontend and backend systems, their architecture and during the course of development I have worked on various game systems like core game logic, various separate game systems that are not part of core game play, UI, Backend cloud systems for various purposes and many more.
I also work on project management side breaking down features in to manageable chunks, timeboxing and planning implementation strategy of complex game features that require multi discipline people to cooperate efficiently in order to get feature done.
